Finances & Stewardship

As individuals and families, we must ask ourselves how we can share our talents and resources with the community, both locally and internationally. For many of our members, Stewardship at ESG is the answer. Financial downloads: Annual Reports, PAR form.

Bursary Fund

The Anniversary Bursary Fund at Eglinton St. George’s United Church in Toronto awards bursaries to candidates for ministry in The United Church of Canada who are registered in a campus-based ordination programme of a United Church Theological School.

The Gifts of Time and Resources

God has provided each one of us with a unique set of gifts. Some of us have developed our talents over time through dedication and commitment. Some of us are still only beginning to discover the nature of our great offerings.

Perhaps you have a sense of your gifts, but haven’t fully developed them. Or maybe you are aware of your talents and you are ready to take a step forward and share them with the congregation. Our gifts define us as individuals, and when we share ourselves in stewardship, we gain a sense of gratitude and satisfaction in return.

Lay Ministry is an exciting and deeply satisfying opportunity to share your gifts with the community and grow as an individual. ESG can offer direction and advice to help you on your path. What better gift can you give to the congregation than sharing yourself? Please share your unique gifts with your fellow members.

Financial Stewardship

In the fall of the year, you will be invited to pledge an amount to contribute over the next year. This pledge helps our church officials plan their budget and design our mission plan.

You may contribute weekly through offering envelopes, monthly through cheques mailed to the church or placed on the offering plate. Many members find that it is easiest to sign up for PAR (Preauthorized Remittances drawn directly from your bank account.) This method helps the church to maintain a steady flow of cash to meet operating expenses.
You are also invited to consider future giving through planned giving, bequests or estate planning.
