The residence is located at 2601 Bayview Avenue, just north of York Mills Road and focuses on activation and stimulation. The staff to resident ratio is 1 to 6, but the cost is reasonable, as all capital funds have been donated for this non-profit facility.

Eglinton St. George’s has been instrumental in the establishment of Ewart Angus Homes that built this facility and the original one on Merton Avenue. There are currently 5 members of ESG who are on the Board, and our church has supported the construction of Cedarhurst through an initial gift of $100,000 through the Title Fund, as well as significant individual donations.
Resident care and programming are provided by SPRINT (Senior People’s Resources in North Toronto) staff, based on the successful approach of the first Ewart Angus Homes residence on Merton St.
Medical care is not provided on site, but the residents’ daily routines and personal rhythms are respected so that they can function at Cedarhurst as they have been used to while living at home. Whether it’s sleeping in or going for a daily walk, the staff accommodates and respects the life-long routines and preferences.
