Biography
Barbara joined the staff of Eglinton St. George's United Church in January 2009, as the Coordinator of Lay Ministry. She has a professional background in Human Resources Management and Adult Education and has worked as an independent consultant in the last few years, specializing in the design and facilitation of workshops in the not-for-profit sector.
Barbara has been a life-long member and active volunteer in many United Church congregations in Ontario and Quebec and has worshipped at Glebe Road United near Yonge and Davisville since moving to the South Eglinton neighbourhood in 1998. She has also played an active role in many community-based organizations and is currently on the Board of Directors of Roseneath Theatre as Chair of the Human Resources Committee.
She is delighted to be part of the team at ESG as a wonderful opportunity to combine years of experience as a volunteer in the United Church, as a community leader and professional experience in Human Resources. She is married to Robin Anderson and has two daughters, Heather and Marion, who attend university in Nova Scotia.
