Children | Overview

Stimulating, educational and fun programming for children runs all week long at ESG. Kids experience a fresh approach to church studies and social skills during Sunday Activities. Take a look below to determine where your kids can enjoy the extensive children's programming Eglinton St. George's has to offer your family. With services from infant to grade 5 there is a wide variety of options for your kids.

In keeping with the Responsible Ministry Policy of our church, parents of primary aged children will be asked to come to the upper level of the west wing to sign out their children. Recruitment and enrollment will also take place at this time.

Parents of children using the programs we offer will be asked to volunteer to lead or assist with at least one workshop during the year in Bible Story Theatre (Grade 1 - 5). There are also volunteer needs in the Infant and Toddler Room - infants to age 3 and with the Kindergarten class (4 and 5 year olds) to teach.

infant toddler

Our caregiver, Lita Tobias, along with responsible volunteer adults and teens, care for infants and toddlers to age three each Sunday in the upper west wing.

Our infant room contains chairs for breast feeding, a high chair for infant feeds, pack'n'play cribs for naps and a change table. The atmosphere is quiet and if you wish you can listen to the sermon via the built in speaker system.

Our toddler room contains chairs for adults, a change table and a toddler sized table for snacks and crafts. With an average of 15 kids per Sunday the atmosphere is action packed and loads of fun for your kids.

Both our infant and toddler rooms has it's own caregiver and one parent volunteer each Sunday.

Be sure to volunteer for your session this Sunday if you use the room for your child or if you simply love kids.

k to gr 5

Primary school children in junior kindergarten through grade five can register for our Kindergarten and Bible Story Theatre programs on Sunday mornings on the upper level of the west wing. Every Sunday, children are invited to participate in Bible Story Theatre, Eglinton St. George’s Church School for grades one through five.

Bible Story Theatre is structured on a workshop rotation model. Rotations are offered throughout the year and are two to three weeks long. Each rotation offers workshops to help children learn about a particular biblical theme or story. Children “rotate” with their age group to each of the workshops, and have the opportunity to explore the theme or story through drama, music, arts and crafts, movement, games, cooking and other activities.

On holiday Sundays, at Christmastime and on March Break, we offer either open sessions or activity binders instead of regular rotations.
