Biography

Jerod Bertram is a Bass-Baritone originally from Nanaimo, BC. He is a recent graduate of the Opera Diploma at the University of Toronto Opera School.

Recently seen as Il Commendatore in a concert performance of Don Giovanni and as Dottore Dulcamara in L'Elisir d'Amore, he has also been seen as Krusina at Opera NUOVA’s production of The Bartered Bride by Smetana as well as Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Centre for Opera in Sulmona, Italy .

Other past credits include Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro with Burnaby Lyric Opera, Marquis D’Obigny in Traviata with Opera York, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Junius in The Rape of Lucretia by Britten and Pandolfe in Massenet’s Cendrillon.
